Newsletter - Winter 2000

Well we totally missed the Autumn Newsletter because we were so busy harvesting. We picked from our own grove (minimal as yet) but we have taken almost 750 kilos from Botobolar. They have wonderful large fruit - a mixture of Sevillano, Manzanillo and Verdale, and are all safely slit and in brine (check the photos).

The late mail is an offer of 200 kilos of Kalamata from the Hunter Valley, so in effect we have quadrupled our production from last year. Check us out at The Fox Growers Market at the Fox Studios on Wednesdays.

Back to our grove - we buried cow horns at the Autumn Equinox for the legendary BD500 mix, and broad beans and garlic were planted again. We are going to have to correct soil imbalance with boron and copper (organically OK) as some of the trees are suffering.

See you in Spring - Richard.
