This beautiful, secluded suite of guesthouses is just 10 minutes from the heart of Mudgee, on a working organic olive farm in a tranquil and private location. The new cabin is up and running - perched on the top of the hill, it really has magnificent views. Fully self contained, sleeping up to 6, with new gas stove and fridge, it is a real crowd pleaser. |

The original B&B sleeps 4, and the main bedroom has French doors opening into a native herb garden. For the children, there are ducks, chooks, cows & sheep on the property, and everyone loves the two new donkeys, Bethlehem and Nazareth. Linen & breakfast provisions is all included. Breakfast includes locally smoked bacon, local sausages, organic tomatoes and Figtree's organic jams, plus the usual cereals, bread, condiments, etc. etc. etc. |

Beautiful, spacious rooms are a feature of Figtree Retreat and the living quarters contain everything which you could need during your stay. There are slow combustion and thermostat heaters for the winter months. Televisions and video players are available for those who can wrench themselves away from the starry nights. Barbecue facilities and laundry also available, so you can stay for a night or as long as you like. And of course there are our weekly specials, you can stay for a week and get two nights free!!!! |

Set within the rural splendor of the wine, gold and fleece districts of the Central Tablelands, Figtree Retreat offers many opportunities to the nature lover. You could easily imagine that the enchanting "Fairy Grove" does in fact harbor such nymphs. Chances are, however, that any stirrings you might hear will be from the sheep, the kangaroos or the wide range of other native birds and stock on the 25 acre property. Richard, your host, creates a wide range of products from the wholly organically run farm, with the Olive Grove being the most prominent of his various agricultural activities. He is also an accomplished musician; check out the CD's on his music page! |

Figtree Retreat is nestled between Vineyards, grazing land and the adjoining Avisford Nature Reserve. Have your soul soothed and your eyes delighted by the vistas presented to them. The walks into the Reserve offer rewarding views of the surrounding countryside and of the plant and animal life native to this part of Austra1ia. Richard will be happy to answer any questions, and offers the Nature Walks map as an aid. The map is, of course, for those who can drag themselves away from the views found near the house or perhaps from the nearby wineries... |

Dear Richard Just wanted to say a big thank you for having us for the long weekend! We had a great time and I am loving the mudgee wine and tapenade I brought back. Now that I am back in the office again and carrying around two mobile phones after hours so work can call me anytime I am seriously missing the country! I hope everything is going well up in Mudgee.
